One of the door hinges appears to have broken the plastic ball link. It has been 'repaired' sorry no
photos - thought I took one before :-(
Anyway a piece of metal had been bolted in place with a nut poorly welded onto it to connect the damper.
I ordered some from the factory at great expense - £1.50 each plus VAT.
Why do a poor tacky repair ???
Particularly when you dig deeper and find out that these are meant to be the weakest link - a
sacrificial component - this breaks rather than something more expensive.

Whilst still trying to align the bodywork I need to trim the body buffers down a bit more. Using a
knife etc is not very accurate and the finish is not very good.
I mess around with the grinder and found that holding them against the fine stone on the bench
grinder worked well getting better than expected results.

 
If I was needing to 'grind' more than a few I would have tapped the end of a bar to use as a
holder.
